Nursing Externs
Nursing students who have successfully completed one semester of a medical/surgical clinical rotation may be eligible to participate in Jefferson’s Nurse Extern Program. As a Nurse Extern, you will work with Jefferson’s professional nursing staff and benefit from their clinical expertise and direct supervision. Externship opportunities exist in critical care/telemetry, medical/surgical and women and children specialties. Learn more about how you can become a Nurse Extern at Jefferson.
Nurse Residency Program
The Nurse Residency Program is designed to support the transition from student to professional nurse. During the first year of practice, new-to-practice nurses progress from advanced practice to competent practitioners through participation in centralized, unit specific orientation and the 12 month Nurse Residency program.
