Fitness & Weight Management Programs

EXOS (15 points) - Accelerate your health with EXOS! This 12-week program combines personal coaching, nutritional support and personalized workouts. Visit www.jefferson.edu/exos for more information.

Beyond Diets (15 points) - This 6-week series provides in-depth information about protein, fat, carbohydrates, calories, meal planning and restaurant eating from the point of view of weight management and enabling weight loss. Weight Watchers @ Work (15 points) - Weight Watchers offers 10-week sessions conveniently on-campus during lunchtime. Email LiveWell@jefferson.edu for class dates.

Free In-person Nutrition Counseling Visits (15 points) -Independence Blue Cross offers members six free in-person nutrition counseling visits per year. Search for participating providers at www.ibxpress.com.

The Jefferson Recreation & Fitness Center - All employees are welcome to join for $16.35 per pay. Payroll deduction is also available. Members have access to a full fitness facility, group exercise classes, and personal training (additional fee). For more information, please visit www.jefferson.edu/fitness.

Discounts at Local Gyms - Jefferson employees can receive discounted membership rates through Benefits Plus, our voluntary benefits program. Choose from SWEAT Fitness, 12th Street Gym, or The Sporting Club at the Bellevue.  For more information or to enroll, visit www.JeffersonBenefitsPlus.com.

Healthy Lifestyle & Behavior Modification Programs

JeffQuit (15 points) - Based on a proven method, JeffQuit maximizes success by gradually decreasing the amount of nicotine over a three-week period – providing the greatest reduction of withdrawal symptoms. Livongo for Diabetes (15 points) - Livongo for Diabetes is a health benefit offered to Jefferson employees and their family members who are enrolled in a Jefferson medical plan. Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Foundation Course (15 points) - This eight-week course in Mindfulness Meditation is aimed to relieve pain, reduce stress and enhance wellness. RedBrick Journey (15 points) - RedBrick Health offers online self-guided Journey’s to support you in your health and wellness goals. Log on to your RedBrick Wellness Portal, click on Topics at the top, and then select Journey’s. Choose from topics such as Healthy Eating, Financial Well-being, Diabetes, Stress and many more. $150 Healthy Lifestyle Reimbursement - Independence Blue Cross members can receive a reimbursement of $150 per year on approved weight loss programs, fitness center fees and tobacco cessation programs. Financial Webinars (5 points) - TIAA offers webinars throughout the year on variety of topics from saving and debt to estate planning. Register at TIAA.org/VE
